The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child states that every child has the right to an adequate standard of living, access services such as education and healthcare, to engage in leisure, play and recreational activities and to participate in cultural and artistic activities. In this section, we explore data relating to deprivation and poverty affecting children and young people in Ireland. The data presented in this section is used by the Child Poverty and Well-being Programme Office.
