A total of 201 million passengers were carried on scheduled bus services, 34.6 million passengers travelled on the Luas and 39.7 million passengers travelled by rail in 2015.

Iarnród Éireann carried 540,000 tonnes of freight in 2015. The principal commodity carried was mineral ores.

The number of journeys by users of the bicycle sharing scheme in Dublin increased to just over 4 million (4,072,878) in 2015, an increase of 35.1% on the 2014 figure.
