The UK was Ireland’s most significant trading partner in terms of the number of enterprises, for both exports and imports of goods, Germany was ranked second.
6,719 enterprises exported goods to the UK in 2017 compared to 1,800 enterprises who exported to Germany. The US, The Netherlands and France were next with approximately 1,700 enterprises exporting to each of these countries.
