Trade balance of €35.1bn in Q3 2022

Ireland’s trade balance at €35.1bn, all goods and services exports less all goods and services imports, decreased by €14.9bn in the third quarter of 2022 over the same period in 2021, mainly due to increased R&D related IP imports.

Service exports, at €85.9bn, increased by €11.9bn compared to the third quarter of 2021, mainly due to higher Computer services exports (which increased by €5.6bn) and higher Transport and Tourism services exports (which increased by €2bn and €1.2bn respectively).
