• UK citizens had the oldest average age among non-Irish citizens – 50 years. 

• The average age of Irish citizens was 39 years.

• Ukrainian citizens had the youngest average age among non-Irish citizens – 25 years. 

• In the year before Census 2022, 10,593 Indian citizens arrived in Ireland, an increase of 315% compared with the year leading up to Census 2016. 

• In the year before Census 2022, 4,689 Brazilian citizens arrived in Ireland, an increase of 2% compared with the year leading up to Census 2016. 

• In the year before Census 2022, 4,174 Spanish citizens arrived in Ireland, an increase of 43% compared with the year leading up to Census 2016. 

• Irish Traveller households had an average size of 4 people per household, down 5% from 2016. 

• The average household size at a national level was 2.7 people per household, unchanged compared with 2016.
