Tobacco

Norway had the highest price level for Tobacco, of the 37 countries, prices were 122% above the EU28 average. North Macedonia was the least expensive, 71% below the EU28 average.  For Tobacco the most expensive country was nearly 8 times more expensive than the least expensive country.  The UK was the most expensive country in the European Union for Tobacco while Ireland was the most expensive within the Eurozone countries. 
 
The Irish price level index for Tobacco was just over twice the European Union average.
 
Bulgaria was the least expensive country for Tobacco within the European Union while Lithuania was the least expensive within the Eurozone. 
 
Table 4.1 below shows the summary results while Figure 4.1 shows the detailed results for the 37 countries.
