This survey comprises two annual surveys to produce structural information on various accounting variables. These statutory surveys produce aggregated data on turnover, employment, exports, earnings and other variables for the Industrial sector. These surveys, the Census of Industrial Enterprises and Census of Industrial Local units present an annual detailed picture of the structure and activity of Industrial Production in Ireland.
Our results are only ever made available to the public in aggregate form and we make sure that it is impossible for individuals or businesses to be identified. Results are used by Eurostat and help to compare developments in Ireland with other EU Member States. Anonymised survey information may be provided to other government departments, approved organisations and approved researchers for statistical purposes only.
