Social Impact of COVID-19 Survey August 2020: The Reopening of Schools

Survey purpose:

The Social Impact of COVID-19 August 2020 survey was undertaken to primarily measure attitudes around returning to school for the 2020/2021 academic year. This survey also measures compliance with official government guidelines in relation to COVID-19 and various well-being indicators.

Statistical Population:

All individuals aged 18 years and over living in private households in Ireland. The original Labour Force Survey (LFS) sample from which this sample was selected was based on Census 2011 data.

Sampling Frame:

The sampling frame consisted of respondents aged 18 years and over that had participated in the LFS commencing Q1 2019. Contact details were collected from those aged under 75 years that completed 5 waves of the survey and from those aged 75 years and over that completed the first wave. The frame is limited to those that provided an email address with only one point of contact per household.
