Question 11
How many children have you given birth to?
Question 11 is a new question introduced in Census 2006. A version of this question referring to the number of children born within the current marriage was asked in 1961, 1971, and 1981. The answers to the present question will allow the relationship between the number of live births and the social, educational and labour market status of the mother to be analysed.
