Commercial property statistics is a key data gap within the system of Official Statistics both in Ireland and internationally. This is highlighted by the recommendations published by the European Systemic Risk Board on closing real estate data gaps (ESRB/2016/14). The CSO have been carrying out research & development work, in conjunction with colleagues from the Central Bank of Ireland and National Asset Management Agency, on this important topic. This work is outlined in the three papers below.
